get ready to spend a lot of time in the car today. Luckily time goes by fast while enjoying a beautiful coastal view every step of the way.
After a three hour drive to the loop head peninsula, take a break relishing the beautiful loop head lighthouse. Next, take your motorhome and go to one of the most popular sights of ireland: the cliffs of moher. These 14 kilometre long sea cliffs with a maximum height of 214 metres should not be missing on this trip.
3. The Antrim Glens
Now, i haven’t actually done this one but it’s high on my list.
And i wanted to include friends in northern ireland on this campervan routes in the uk list, of course. The road trip from belfast to londonderry is described by many as one of the world’s greatest roads. I know, amazing hey? and so close to us. Travel this northern irish route and you’ll meander through the ‘nine green glens of antrim’ from the capital, belfast, to the second largest city, in the north-west corner, londonderry. For most of the route you’ll be hugging the seawall – make sure to look out for wildlife along the way.

The wild atlantic way can be enjoyed over a few 'very fast' days to a leisurely several weeks. Next on this ireland road trip is the ring of kerry. This 179-km-long (~111 miles) circular forms part of the wild atlantic way and can be driven in 3. 5 hours without stopping. Of course, you’ll be stopping since there’s plenty of things to stop for, including a national park and three remote islands! this particular route is popular with outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike thanks to the endless wildlife and outdoor pursuits on offer. Start the route in killarney national park, home to numerous walking trails, ross castle and the shimmering lough leane. Other rings of kerry highlights include rossbeigh beach (yes, a soft sand beach… in ireland), the gap of dunloe, and torc waterfall.
